Professional Supervision of the Construction of the Osijek Wastewater Treatment Plant

EPTISA ADRIA Supervises the Construction
of the Osijek Wastewater Treatment Plant

EPTISA ADRIA d.o.o. plays a vital role in the professional supervision of one of the most significant infrastructure projects in eastern Croatia – the construction of the Osijek Wastewater Treatment Plant. This project is part of the broader EU initiative Improvement of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure in the City of Osijek, known as the Osijek Project. It is designed to significantly reduce the discharge of untreated wastewater into the sensitive Danube River Basin.

Key Project Details

  • Part of a larger EU initiative: Improvement of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure in the City of Osijek

  • Plant capacity: 170,000 PE (Population Equivalent)

  • Location: Nemetin, Osijek

  • Project area: 165,000 m²

  • Treatment technology: Tertiary treatment (mechanical and biological processes)

  • FIDIC conditions: Contract under the Yellow Book (1999)

Our Role and Responsibilities

The service provided by EPTISA ADRIA encompasses:

  • Supervising the design process for the wastewater treatment plant.

  • Overseeing construction works of the plant with a capacity of 170,000 PE, ensuring tertiary treatment.

  • Monitoring the implementation of the construction contract, including all stages of project execution, from design to commissioning and technical inspection.

Project Execution

This project involves the construction of 28 individual structures spread across an area of 165,000 m². The plant will employ advanced tertiary treatment to reduce phosphorus and nitrogen levels in the wastewater before it is discharged into the Drava River. This innovative solution contributes to environmental conservation and reduces the ecological footprint on the Danube River Basin.

Why EPTISA ADRIA?

EPTISA ADRIA d.o.o. is recognized for its expertise in supervising complex infrastructure projects, particularly those with high environmental and technological requirements. Our commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability ensures the successful completion of this important initiative, which serves as a foundation for long-term improvements in the quality of life in Osijek and surrounding areas.

The Osijek Wastewater Treatment Plant is yet another example of how EPTISA ADRIA contributes to developing sustainable and modern infrastructure in Croatia.
